About us
A collection of locally owned places to stay, explore and gather in Prescott, Wisconsin. Each one is inspired by a deep love for the river towns of Western Wisconsin.
Our story
Western Wisconsin Wanderer is home to a family of locally owned places to stay, gather and shop, each one an invitation to experience the river towns of Western Wisconsin the way the people who live here do.
It began with a simple conviction: that the stretch of the Great River Road from St. Croix Falls to Nelson deserves to be discovered, explored and savored. That conviction became a guide to the region, written by someone who lives here and loves it here. In time, it grew into places to stay, gather and shop that bring every page of that guide to life.
Each one shares the same purpose: to welcome visitors with genuine warmth, to support the community that makes this region special, and to give every guest a reason to return.

The heart behind the Wanderer
Megan believes the best things in a small town are built together. Whether she's bringing new life to a building on Broad Street or swapping ideas with the shop next door, she cares about doing things well, doing them right and doing them side by side with her neighbors.
That spirit runs through every place to stay, every page of the guide and every plan for The Collective: genuine hospitality, shared with the people who make this region feel like home.
She also serves as President of the Prescott tourism board and sits on the Pierce County tourism board, working alongside fellow business owners to share the river towns with everyone who comes to visit.
"We invest in our community and provide a place to belong, grow, and thrive."Our purpose
