Life doesn’t always line up neatly. The new job starts on the first, but the house doesn’t close until the twentieth. The contract runs six weeks, not six days. You’ve sold one home and haven’t moved into the next. And somewhere in between, you need a place to land that feels like more than a hotel room, without signing a lease.
That in-between is exactly what our extended stays at The Harbor Hotel in Prescott are built for.
Over the years, our longer-stay guests have included:
Most stay anywhere from one week to a few months. It’s not meant to be forever. It’s meant to make the in-between easy.
The biggest difference between a long hotel stay and a comfortable one is the kitchen. So our studios come with what we call our micro kitchen, and it’s a lot more than a mini fridge and a microwave.
Make eggs before work, pack a lunch, cook dinner on a weeknight, and save eating out for when you actually feel like it.
Every room at The Harbor has its own state theme, and our extended-stay options come in a few sizes depending on who’s coming along.
At roughly 300 to 400 square feet, our standard studios are comfortable for one or two people, with plenty of room to settle in, unpack, and stay a while.
Our end-unit large studios are close to double the size of a standard room, with a true living area and an L-shaped couch, so there’s space to stretch out at the end of the day. Louisiana is open now, and California, with its vintage Route 66 road-trip theme, is on the way.
Upstairs on the second floor, Hawaii and Alaska each have a king bed and a private balcony, a spot for your morning coffee or a slow evening outside after a long day.
Just opened, Kansas is a modern, whimsical take on a Wizard of Oz orchard, with an apple orchard mural, butcher-block counters, and brushed brass fixtures. It’s a showstopper.
For families, the Florida condo is a one-bedroom with a full traditional kitchen, a living room, and a bedroom with a private bath. The bedroom has a king bed plus a twin, and the living room has a reading nook that’s actually a proper twin bed. It’s ideal when the whole family is making the move together.
Prescott is small, friendly, and easy to live in for a while, and it’s surprisingly well connected. Hastings, Minnesota, is just across the bridge. Hudson, River Falls, and Woodbury are an easy drive, and you can be in St. Paul in about 40 minutes.
When the workday’s done, you’re minutes from the river. Head downtown, catch the sunset where the St. Croix meets the Mississippi, and find your new favorite spot for dinner. Philander’s is right next door, and our Where to Eat guide covers the rest. Staying through the seasons? Our season-by-season guide will keep your weekends full.
Every extended stay is a little different, so the best first step is a conversation. Tell us your dates, who’s coming along, and what you need, and we’ll match you with the right room and share our weekly and monthly rates. Reach out here, and we’ll take it from there.
Wherever you’re headed next, we’ll make sure the in-between feels like home. đź’™
