Extended Stays in Prescott, WI: Furnished Studios With a Kitchen for Your In-Between

The Harbor Hotel in Prescott, Wisconsin

Furnished studios with a real kitchen, flexible payments, and room for the whole family, for a week, a month, or more

Life doesn’t always line up neatly. The new job starts on the first, but the house doesn’t close until the twentieth. The contract runs six weeks, not six days. You’ve sold one home and haven’t moved into the next. And somewhere in between, you need a place to land that feels like more than a hotel room, without signing a lease.

That in-between is exactly what our extended stays at The Harbor Hotel in Prescott are built for.

Who Our Extended Stays Are For

Over the years, our longer-stay guests have included:

  • Professionals on assignment, like contract project leads, business owners overseeing a job site, and traveling medical professionals such as doctors and pharmacists
  • Families between homes, waiting on a closing date or a renovation to wrap up
  • New arrivals to the area who start work before their permanent housing is ready
  • Couples and families traveling together for a work season, sometimes with a child or a dog along for the ride

Most stay anywhere from one week to a few months. It’s not meant to be forever. It’s meant to make the in-between easy.

What Makes It Feel Like Home: Our Micro Kitchen

The biggest difference between a long hotel stay and a comfortable one is the kitchen. So our studios come with what we call our micro kitchen, and it’s a lot more than a mini fridge and a microwave.

  • A full apartment-size refrigerator and freezer, about five feet tall, so you can actually grocery shop for the week
  • A two-burner cooktop for real meals, not just reheated takeout
  • A kitchen sink for washing up
  • A fully stocked setup with pots and pans, small appliances, dishes, mugs, silverware, and a coffee maker

Make eggs before work, pack a lunch, cook dinner on a weeknight, and save eating out for when you actually feel like it.

Choose Your Space

Every room at The Harbor has its own state theme, and our extended-stay options come in a few sizes depending on who’s coming along.

Standard studios

At roughly 300 to 400 square feet, our standard studios are comfortable for one or two people, with plenty of room to settle in, unpack, and stay a while.

Large studios: Louisiana (and California, coming soon)

Our end-unit large studios are close to double the size of a standard room, with a true living area and an L-shaped couch, so there’s space to stretch out at the end of the day. Louisiana is open now, and California, with its vintage Route 66 road-trip theme, is on the way.

Balcony studios: Hawaii and Alaska

Upstairs on the second floor, Hawaii and Alaska each have a king bed and a private balcony, a spot for your morning coffee or a slow evening outside after a long day.

The Kansas room: our newest

Just opened, Kansas is a modern, whimsical take on a Wizard of Oz orchard, with an apple orchard mural, butcher-block counters, and brushed brass fixtures. It’s a showstopper.

The Florida condo

For families, the Florida condo is a one-bedroom with a full traditional kitchen, a living room, and a bedroom with a private bath. The bedroom has a king bed plus a twin, and the living room has a reading nook that’s actually a proper twin bed. It’s ideal when the whole family is making the move together.

How Extended Stays Work

  • Stay as long as you need. Book a week, a month, or more, and we’ll hold your room for as long as you need it.
  • Flexible payments. Choose weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly payments.
  • Optional weekly cleaning. We can refresh your room every week, or leave you to it. Your call.
  • Park right outside. Parking is steps from your room, so unloading tools, groceries, or the whole car is easy.
  • Pets and kids welcome. The Harbor is pet friendly and family friendly. Let us know who’s coming when you book.

Why Prescott Works for a Longer Stay

Prescott is small, friendly, and easy to live in for a while, and it’s surprisingly well connected. Hastings, Minnesota, is just across the bridge. Hudson, River Falls, and Woodbury are an easy drive, and you can be in St. Paul in about 40 minutes.

When the workday’s done, you’re minutes from the river. Head downtown, catch the sunset where the St. Croix meets the Mississippi, and find your new favorite spot for dinner. Philander’s is right next door, and our Where to Eat guide covers the rest. Staying through the seasons? Our season-by-season guide will keep your weekends full.

Let’s Find Your Room

Every extended stay is a little different, so the best first step is a conversation. Tell us your dates, who’s coming along, and what you need, and we’ll match you with the right room and share our weekly and monthly rates. Reach out here, and we’ll take it from there.

Wherever you’re headed next, we’ll make sure the in-between feels like home. đź’™
